Sometimes, holiday meals are so heavy that you can’t take
that out of your mind. But there is still space in your stomach to eat. So, I
wonder what to eat at that moment???
Near my house a small restaurant named kebab magic opened
some time back . Some of my students recommended me Shawarma kebab from its
menu . So, I decided to see how they were preparing it. It was prepared the
same way, using a large rotating meat cone; the meat was shaved off the cone
and dropped to a circular tray below to be retrieved. However, it is similar to
doner kebab,
which is more well known . The shaved meat was then placed inside romali rotti
. And was served with lot of mayonnaise + one slice of carrot + one slice of
cucumber. They wrapped with tissue paper and packed it. When I reached home my
bag was full of aroma which made me more hungry than I actually was. When I
opened the parcel I saw mayo was oozing out , making me crave for it. Even after
eating it I wanted more.
I got the Second chance soon when my sister came to my place.
We were really hungry that day shopping and the magical shawarma kebab was perfect! You will
not believe she ate hers and mine and still wanted more !!
She even mailed me some recipes from internet to practice at
home so I could to prepare the dish when
I went to her. How crazy?
When I reached , the first thing she asked me was if I had
practiced shawarma at home or not. What
to answer her? Anyway, I can’t escape by giving excuses. Now the big question
was how to prepare without practice and that too at one go. So I smuggled some
recipes tips from various sites and giving it Indian tadka prepared it. This is
how it follows:-
